Election Day: 24 November
Australia goes to the polls on 24 November, and unlike some of my colleagues, I'm confident enough to call the result. I say Labor will win. Never in history have we had such consistent polls with such a swing against the sitting government. I hope I am not jinxing this election in calling it this early, but I have been witnessing the preparations of the business community for a change of government and I believe it can and should happen.
To paraphrase a very old Labor campaign, "it's time".

You missed an opp to use both election slogans....(ahem) '"it's time" for "new leadership"!' ;-)

You might get something of an argument on this one... My call is that while Rudd is popular, his inexperience will tell. They should have blooded him a lot earlier.
While Howard's personal popularity is under fire, his political ability is not.
No I think Rudd will sit a term in opposition like Gough did, so in drawing a parallel to the campaign, so too draw a parallel to the politician.
Cheers.
