Australian Federal Election: The Great Debate

Well ten minutes in to the great debate, and the worm is showing a clear preference for Rudd. This is an audience that is split precisely 50/50 for Liberal versus Labor invitees, so unless the worm is being tampered with, this is bad news for Howard.

But Howard is usually a complete dud in great debates, having lost the last two by a landslide so while I'm confident that Rudd will win tonight's debate, I'm not sure this will tell us anything about the forthcoming election.

Well you obviously watched Channel 9 which lost the feed I understand, and then had to obtain such by various means. (Clicking of tongue) - Why oh Why were you not watching the proper telecast by our national broadcaster - wormless though it may have been????

A. Because I wanted to see the worm; and
B. Because the reception is better on Channel 9 in my flat!

As the broadcast was commercial free I was happy enough to use Channel 9 and have the Sky news worm feed!

I was dancing my feet off and did not see it... I did not even tape it...

I know Howard presents poorly as a public speaker, that is not his strength. Rudd was always favored to win the debate. The only thing Howard doesnt seem to do well at all is lose elections... and it is still too early to take anything said as less than political manouvering... the real candidates are not yet among us...

Cheers..
